A lovely, chunky ammonite, sliced in two and polished to reveal it's secret chambers. Some chambers are crystal filled while others are crystal caves.
Ammonites were relatives of squids and nautili which thrived in the seas during the time of the dinosaurs. Their name originates from the Greek ram-horned god Ammon. There were many different varieties, ranging in size from a penny to a tractor tyre.
